Tenuta Morano’s artisanal orange compote (212ml) celebrates the excellence of our own groves. We follow a recipe of absolute purity, with no added pectin: using only the pulp and zest of our fresh oranges, a minimal amount of sugar, and fresh lemon juice.
We process the fruit immediately after hand-harvesting to lock in the essential oils intact, yielding an extraordinary aromatic longevity from the very first taste. In today's culinary world, often dominated by mass-produced items high in sugar and artificial gelling agents, Tenuta Morano chooses the path of complete authenticity for our 212ml jar. Our artisanal compote boasts an exceptionally clean recipe, encasing between 68% and 73% pure fruit grown entirely in our estate. Hand-harvested, our oranges are rushed straight to our kitchen: this immediate transition locks in the delicate essential oils of the rind at peak intensity before they can diffuse. Added sugar is kept to a strict minimum, allowing the authentic character of the fruit to take center stage. Its soft and beautifully uniform texture is achieved entirely through a patient, slow simmering process that respects the rhythms of nature.
